I agree with you about the definition of "new design" it really is vague and unfortunately open for interpretation by the software companies and subscriptions we use as well as us as users. If we are drawing "inspiration" and attend to changing the principals of line, size, texture, colour, space and compostion of original images that reflect a new design surely this is OK. Artists have been inspired by master artworks for many years and whilst their may be familiarity in the works I would say it is a direct copy - I guess thats what we aim for in our designs. I am noticing that there are more videos about artists very upset by AI - you only have to take the exodus from Instagram and Adobe across to CARA as a recent example. I like your idea about using line and shape in designs. Textures would also be great to include. There is also a legal case about use of font in that one was uploaded to a POD site and distributed to users - a big no no. I could see how that could ahppen though especially if you were innocently using a font that you thought had commercial or POD use only to find out that wasnt granted by the person who created it. I reckon there is a lot more to come in this space. Thanks for sharing! :)

Google is introducing a system model for search. You may have noticed a change in the way google looks and now presents information to users. Key words were a big part of Search Engine Optimisation SEO With AI increasingly prevalent in the online space Google now has a search generative experience SGE (When I first read about it the author used optimisation and not the work experience..sorry about confusion between SGO and SGE) Both are still valid. With SGE AI basically takes what users would normally ask in search and presents a summary. I now use phrases in key word boxes that people may type - e.g. A journal for tracking my weightloss. I do the same now on youtube and have also noticed a positive effect. Hope that helped

I agree there needs to be more clarity and responsibility taken. Its all well and good to offer a bank of stock images and elements but leaving it to users to sort out their legal obligations is not appropriate!

From my research it is the overall design created using varied elements or inspiration. I still find this to be vague. For example creative fabrica note that you change art elements - line, space, texture etc. Canvas example included a combination of elements in creating a new design. The number of the same element or changing its colour or size for example wouldnt be considered a new design... hope that helps...I am still getting my head around it and learning more each day.

Thanks so much for sharing your KDP experience. I have had a few issues here and there with margins of my books and am slowing getting the hang of it. I dont know that social media really helps. I have another channel and even with facebook and instagram linked it really has not made any difference to traffic so I cant see it transferring to sales. I watched a video last night where the woman was saying she made $130 000 but then said she spent $20000 I question this figure as from what I can make out its activity books and with royalties of around $2 thats ALOT of books!!!

in australia you can use www.ipaustralia.gov.au/trade-marks/search-existing-trade-marks if you google search for a copyright trademark search in your country there should be a site specifically for this.

I believe that video content comes under advertising and can be quite expensive. I will have to find out more to be sure.

You can but I know KDP are collecting information about this during upload and they may look at their policy in the future. It basically comes down to who owns the copyright of the AI images and this is going through some legal channels across the world. When we generate AI content we have the license to do so through third party software but the copyright may need more clarity down the track. I have been ans will continue using AI so if this changes it will impact me. I am also attempting to use original content as much as possible to avoid any possible future issues.

If you look up how to draw step by step grid method books on amazon or search on youtube I think you will find most are created with specifically designed software that generate images such as puzzlewiz or cloudorkapps or others have used images from creative fabrica. I chose to source AI images outside of those. I get the irony of not having drawn the images myself.. I just find it interesting that you chose me to exercise your comedic talent. My advice would be to not get rid of it instead I would be looking at what you can add to it so that it may fit within the medium content space. You perhaps could add a humorous element to it with some stories about dads forgetting things woven in between the pages.. that kind of thing. Its interesing that that has happend to you I wonder who else is getting that message. I created the brain dump journal low content and it was approve in a day or two. I uploaded 3 low content books last night so will see how they go in getting approved. Interesting times ahead I reckon...

Hi There! When you are in canva if you search for pinterest templates it will give you options to choose and then you can just delete and add to them as you need with your own design. It sounds like you have some great potential with your books considering that they are bringing in a small income for so long.. how great is that! I have book bolt but havent tried the options but intend to also look into that more. This week I have been cosuming content for things to try and boost my books which I will share. I am sure i am undiagnosed ADHD as I have the same problem. I have been sitting for the last few hours going form one project to the next and I need to just focus!! Perhaps you can focus on the books that you have been selling and focus on creating others like it. I have a guestbook that seems to be popular so I am thinking of improving the manuscript and creating a few more in the same cover theme. Thanks for watching :)

Thank you for this, quick question when making the back sides black does the black print ink not bleed through at all to the front images?

@@tashiamcintire2507 Hi I just grabbed one of my books and coloured one of the images in coloured pencil quite heavily. The black backing ink did not transfer to the image on the next page. I do recommend if using texta you place a sheet of paper between when working. Not becuase of the black ink on the back of the page but becuase the texta may bleed through

I created this book before I even knew about niche research. I basically used this in the video as I knew if anyone copied the content it wouldnt matter but still gave me the opportunity to share what the books liked like and the process I used. Thats the only thing I dont like about these platforms in that you dont get an answer to the reasons why. When I first started I did get a message my account was suspended and realised I had a second account that I had forgotten about. I deleted that and luckily got reinstated again. It freaked me out a bit so I also went through ALL my books at the time and made sure that everything was original, I also unpublishing books made with canva and creative fabrica images and am working on updating with my own content. Perhaps you could try some of the other self publishing sites. Sorry you didnt get an answer from amazon.
